Our postpartum home visits are a special part of the support we provide, designed to help you comfortably transition into motherhood right at your doorstep.

Our midwives will be there to guide you through your physical recovery, offer breastfeeding advice, and ensure your little one is thriving. We're here to answer your questions, from baby care basics to managing your own well-being, ensuring you feel confident and supported. These visits, within the first weeks after birth, are all about giving you the care, advice, and listening ear you might need during this beautiful, yet challenging, time.

What to expect

The World Health Organisation recommends postnatal home visits to asses:
- wound healing
- bowel and urinary changes
- postpartum bleeding
- uterus contraction / tenderness
- headaches, fatigue, back pain
- breastfeeding/breast pain
- emotional and mental well being
- if there is a support system to help day-to-day matters
- home visits are also recommended to council the mother about:
- nutrition
- hygiene
- safe sex and family planning
- mental and emotional well-being
During postpartum home visits, the midwife also assesses the following of the newborn
- weight gain
- feeding (breast or bottle)
- umbilical cord stump condition
- urine & stool production and passing
- safe sleep surrounding
The midwife visits are not only there to asses the mother’s and newborn’s well-being but also to help and guide you through the first weeks with a newborn. She can help and show you for example:
- how to change the nappy that is relaxing for you and your baby
- be there when you bathe your newborn for the first time
- advise you on the newborns skin care, clothing according to the current season
- help with sleeping issues
- advise you with tummy aches, burping, reflux

55€ - Postpartum Home Visit
This visit includes a 60-minute home visit after birth. This price applies to Tallinn. For clients outside of Tallinn an additional fee of 0,5€/km will apply.
